Instructions:
These little guys are so delicious, you'll never run to a Krispy Kreme shop again! Hee Hee.
Both recipes above are easy, but one is more 'from scratch' than the other. Below are instructions on how to make them both.
The Super Easy Way
1. Open the can of biscuits and separate them.
2. Pat the biscuits out a little so they are larger than the can in which they started.
3. Cut a hole in the middle of each (you can use a pop bottle lid or the like)
4. Heat the oil in the frying pan and place the donuts into it. They will start swelling almost immediately.
5. Once the donut has turned slightly brown on the bottom flip it over to the other side to brown.
5 1/2. You can also do this with the donut holes you cut out.
6. Remove from oil, pat with a paper towel and sprinkle sugar/cinnamon/powdered sugar on it!
7. Eat.
The Other Way
1. Mix first four ingredients together and let sit for a few minutes.
2. Pull off donut-hole sized balls and flatten them to roughly the size of a donut.
3. Cut a hole from the middle. You can use a knife or a pop bottle lid.
7. Eat.
Both recipes make scrumptious donuts and both are easy to do. Be very careful around the hot oil. Do not put anything wet or allow any water to contact the hot oil.
You can use tongs or a long fork to insert, flip, and remove the donuts in the oil.
A can of frosting is a nice change from sugar covered donuts. Just spread it across the top after the donuts have cooled a bit. You can then put nuts, candy sprinkles, coconut, or whatever else you can think of on top.
